Our Purpose:
Nourishing hearts and minds for community
Our Mission:
We strive to develop confident and successful learners who have purpose, imagination, a sense of connection, inner truth and a feeling of responsibility.
Our Values:
We have five classrooms and two office buildings, an undercover basketball court, sheltered climbing playground, Mother Mulberry tree, raised garden beds, and a dedicated learning space equipped with work benches, vices, tool storage and a wet area.
Hours of fun are had in our new Kindergarten Nature Play Area, complete with a hobbit hole, sandpit, climbing frame, mud kitchen and water play.
Mud-brick buildings complement the beauty of our natural environment.
Tallowood manages class sizes by ensuring a balanced and informed approach when considering enrolments. This provides the teacher with a thorough understanding of each individual student's needs thus, enabling a healthy amount of individual attention to each child’s learning needs.
At all year levels, we invite and encourage parents to contribute to the children’s learning experiences, and any area of expertise that may be offered within our curriculum framework.
One of the delightful aspects of community at Tallowood Steiner School is the sharing of four seasonal festivals across the school year.
