Tallowood Steiner School is located in the beautiful Nambucca Valley, Mid North Coast NSW, almost exactly half-way between Sydney and Brisbane. The School is only 3km north of the small town of Bowraville, in a picturesque setting overlooking rolling hills.

There is a school bus service running to the school from Macksville, via Wirrimbi, every morning and afternoon on school days. Also, school buses from Bowraville, Missabotti, North Arm Road and surrounding areas are available. Children living more than 2.8km from the school are entitled to free travel passes. Passes can be obtained from Transport NSW.



Busways Bus



Busways provides scheduled school bus services between Nambucca Heads and Macksville and from Macksville directly to Tallowood Steiner School. Phone 6568 3012 or visit Busways Coffs Harbour for routes and timetables. Apply for a bus pass at Transport NSW.


Baldwins Bus


Baldwins provides a scheduled school bus service from Argent’s Hill, Buckrabendinni and Missabotti to Bowraville, then onward to Tallowood Steiner School. For more information, routes and timetables please ring 6564 7269.



Tallowood Bus


Tallowood Steiner School offers a user pay service for our youngest students travelling from the Valla Beach area.

Priority is given to Kindergarten students.

Tallowood bus runs 3 days per week, Monday to Wednesday.

Annual cost per student is $960 per annum.

Please note that school activities and excursions take priority over the school route service.

Notification will be provided for families to make other travel arrangements when this occurs.
