About Tallowood Steiner School

nature playground_tallowood

Tallowood Steiner School is a growing, independent school located in Borawville, NSW, in a beautiful rural setting.

Inter-connectedness is fundamental to our approach - working from whole to part, in an integrated curriculum where all subjects are linked through a common thread or theme. To read more about Steiner Education, please visit About Steiner or Steiner Education Australia.

We encourage age appropriate levels of individual responsibility from Kindergarten to Class Six, based on individual temperament. Children learn to work for the whole and the collective good. Children learn about equity and celebrate diversity.

Key directions for our school are the development of a Gumbaynggirr Language Program, Outdoor Education and Nature Play Programs, working with Landcare doing creek regeneration, and developing whole-school music programs.
